I didn't warm up at all, I saw josie and talked to her for a while. Then we got up near the front and when it started I sprinted ahead and Josie caught up after mile two, we ran together for about 4 miles then she ran ahead. I ran alone for a while then this other woman came and I ran with her, then I ran alone again for a while. Coming out of the canyon at 7.5 miles I was at a 48:45, well on my way for sub 1:30 which is what I was aiming for, but I got a bad cramp coming into the golf course and slowed my pace down a bit. Then I tensed up because I was slowing down, which made me even slower. When we came behind Lone Peak I took the water and was about to take a gel, but I didn't. Then we got to the biggest uphill of the race right at mile 10, it was mentally tough. I felt on the verge of puking but I kept going, I turned my music up louder and ran on to the long road before the last two miles. It felt like a really long 3 miles, but once I saw AF I went for it. I sprinted and was tired, I walked a bit after then ate some french toast they had. I love this race I will do it again next year, sub 1:30 :)

Way to "gut it out" during the middle miles. You'll definitely go sub 1:30 next year!
