| | OK, so it was kind of a sad day at the beginning, but turned into a shocking run..... It was raining slightly so I ran in a long t shirt and shorts I decided to bring the garmin today. All the sudden This turned into a race against myself after running in the awful heat for numerous days, the cool air felt good. The wind was blowing at a decent rate, all the sudden I got to my one mile mark and ran a 6:00 mile, I kept going determined to keep it up. But when I turned I was running into the headwind, straight into it. At my two mile mark, I got 12:10 I was angry I didn't keep up a 6:00 mile pace, I kept going up to the hill by the temple and had to stop at the stoplight for 30 seconds so I paused my garmin, then I kept going I finished my 3 mile time trial slightly down the hill at a whopping 18:17?? what the heck did that come from? I got my IT band injured for track and had to reduce my mileage, maybe that helped. Well yes this course isn't the state course, so yeah hopefully i won't get injured and i can keep this pace up and work on hills as this course, didn't have many. But I cooled down for a couple miles and was so excited that I think I ran home too fast! But I couldn't believe it!!! I ran a 18:17 3 mile!!! I couldn't be more excited I managed to run a 6:05 last mile pretty excited for XC.

| | So, I'm finally blogging again, let's see how long this goes. Well Saturday I wasn't able to do a longer run, so I did one today. Well, ran about a 7:12-7:20 pace according to a running calculator. So a pretty decent run, It was cloudy and fairly cool,I ran in a long sleeve shirt and felt pretty good. Ran on the Murdoch canal then ran to AF and then the driving range and back, saw a lot of bikers today, only 2 runners kind of funny. :)

Run the Ridge (3.08 Miles) 00:20:13, Place overall: 13, Place in age division: 2 | |
So i wasn't planning on doing this race, of course not I did a hard run yesterday and ate beef the night before anyway, i get a text at 10 o clock at night from Emily saying the XC team is doing it. So with my sore back ( which is odd) and tight calves I raced it. I saw Sophie Barid and ran with her for about two miles, she wasn't taking it too seriously. So our first split was a 6:13 pretty decent, the next one was slower about a 6:50 something and then she sped up and ran a 6:05 or something for the next split I slowed down a bit at the end.... but for not really preparing at all it was a decent race. I hope to do another 5K soon to see my real time, but this was a good race despite. It was a pretty slow race though....
